Take your dog’s scent work skills to the next level in this 5-week online course designed for teams who have already been introduced to the foundations of K9 Scent Work. In this class, we’ll begin the exciting transition from primary (food or toys) to target odors used in formal scent detection sports. Each week, you'll receive step-by-step guidance, video demos, and personalized feedback as you introduce your dog to their first target odor (birch). We’ll cover odor imprinting, building strong odor value, and setting up thoughtful search challenges to build drive, confidence, and precision. You’ll also learn how to safely store and handle odor, and how to start laying the groundwork for future trial success—whether you're trial-bound or just looking to expand your dog’s enrichment toolbox.
